IMPORTANT FLUSHABILITY INFORMATION:
Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes comply with all industry guidelines and are proven, when flushed one wipe at a time, to pass through a home's well-maintained toilet and drain lines or septic system without clogging. Flushable wipes are not recommended for use in motor homes or with basement pump systems.
What is a well-maintained sewer and septic system?
Drain lines, particularly the curved trap of toilet plumbing, need to be unobstructed by any foreign objects or even too much toilet paper or too many wipes. Sewer lines, particularly in older homes, need to be free of any tree roots that can catch materials being flushed. Septic systems need to be regularly maintained according to manufacturer instructions.
Remember, never flush more than one wipe at a time.
Never Flush List:
Flushing the wrong things down your toilet can clog your toilet, pipes, sewer lines, septics and cause plumbing issues. And flushing the wrong things can even lead to problems at your local water treatment plant.
Don't use your toilet as a trash can. Common household items to never flush include: Paper towels; Baby, household cleaning & facial wipes; Facial tissue; Disposable diapers; Tampons, applicators & sanitary pads; Condoms; Cotton balls & swabs; Dental floss; Bandages; Cigarettes; Hair; Needles; Kitty litter.
Additional items that should never be flushed because they pose a threat to water quality include: Motor oil, transmission, fluids, antifreeze, unused Rx/OTC medication and anything toxic or flammable. Solvents, paints, turpentine, nail polish, nail polish remover and any pesticides.
Look for the Do Not Flush logo that is starting to appear on many products or read the directions on the package on how to dispose of properly.
